What did we do this week?

Hello everyone!

During this week most of us have finished the physical map of Europe.

 

We did two tests: READING AND WRITING. The were very simple and easy.

We all have finished the political map and we have to study for Monday!

Weekly activities

This week we did the exam of countries and capitals of Europe.

We celebrated Thanksgiving day. We did some crafts for our heads.

The classes also listened to some presentations about Syria, islands, etc.
We studied about physical maps for example some oceans, mountains and  seas in Europe.

We saw some photos about the Refugees in Syria.

We are going to write a letter for the refugees or the Town Hall.

Here you an example of letter.

If you want to write a letter to a refugee we should write "Dear refugee".

If you want to write a letter to the Town Hall we should write "Dear Major" or "Dear president"

For the closing  we can write "Best Wishes".

What did we learn this week?

On Monday we went to Parque Europa. We saw different monuments of the capital cities. We visited the replica of the Eiffel Tower, We saw the Atomiun, The Manneken Pis, The Berlin Wall, Puerta de Alcalá and the Greek Theater, Finally we played a game about Europe in the park. 

We also played games on the board ,we did yoga and played games about continents.

We  practiced  contries of Europe.








For the Cultural day some classes made dream catchers related to USA and others watched videos about a Hockey match related to Canada.

On Friday  we watched videos about Malala because it is Children's Rights. We also watched videos about the most dangerous places to go to school in the world. 
We did coins about Malala and we talked about story about Malala, rights and obligations.

We discovered the Earth

Hello Star Wars class and clash royale class,

We are going to the Europe Park and visit the monuments on Monday 14th November 2016!

During this week:

We studied countries of Europe and capitals.

We wrote a letter for the King with the posters (clash royale class).

We learnt about the borders of Europe: the Ural Mountains, The Caspian Sea, the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains.

Some groups did presentations about the Earth.

We learnt about superlatives.

Excursión Parque Europa

Buenas tardes familias,

Os comunicamos que posiblemente la hora de regreso de la excursión del próximo día 14 de noviembre al Parque Europa no se haga exactamente a las 14:00 h. Creemos que llegaremos en torno a las 14:15 h. Os lo hacemos llegar en caso que tengáis que reorganizar la recogida de vuestros hijos/as.

Por otro lado, os escribimos para de nuevo, disculparnos por el asunto de las camisetas. Están aún en trámite y su llegada no se hará efectiva el día de la excursión, por lo que recomendamos que los niños/as que no tengan las camisetas aún, traigan alguna prenda verde para identificarlos junto con el resto de compañeros.

De nuevo, os damos las gracias por vuestra paciencia.

WHAT HAVE WE DONE THIS WEEK?

This week we have done presentations about the Earth.

Some people have discovered some information about natural disaster, for example the hurricane Mattew.

We have learned information about Pangaea.

Joda and the King of Clash Royale sent us a letter with the first mission! The letter said that we have to give him some information about our planet. If we behave and tell him the correct information, they give us a special card. 

We have also learned the continents and the oceans. Some people brought some information.

One day, we read a book about cats from different countries and then we did  a book review. 

We also use the globe to see the line (Equator),the continents and oceans.

THIS WEEK HAS BEEN COOL!!!!!!

Hello boys and girls,

How are you! It is Friday today and next week....We will celebrate Halloween! :)

This week we have learnt lots of things about maps. Some of you created a wonderful poster about it.

What is a map?

A map is a flat representation of the Earth or a place on 

Earth.

What is a compass rose?

A compass rose is a design used to show directions. It 

normally shows the cardinal directions.

What is a legend or map key?

The legendo or map key uses symbols on maps. Symbols are pictures on the map that represent something in the real world.

What is a scale?

Most maps have a scale. Scales help us know distances on maps. The scale shows how much bigger the real world is than the map.

We will learn more things next week. :)

Noticias de última hora

Se comunica a las familias que tengan las camisetas de talla grande, que el próximo lunes los alumnos las traigan para poder buscar una talla más adecuada.

Por otro lado, a los alumnos que les resulte incómoda la mochila de cuerdas, pueden llevarla dentro de otra mochila que quieran. El objetivo de la mochila de cuerdas es que los traslados de clase a clase sean más efectivos.

Rogamos que disculpen estos incovenientes de inicio de curso. Esperamos ir mejorando poco a poco.

NEW AND EXCITING UNIT!

Hello everyone!!

Yesterday was an exciting day! We received a letter from The King showing us some maps and giving us our FIRST MISSION: investigate about the Earth.

Beltrán found the letter on the table and we were looking for maps around school. We found lots! With Asier´s help we decided the unit name: The legendary Clan´s adventure. 

We have started today our unit mind map! and finished a poster where we wrote:
